William Alexander is a Graphic Designer in Roanoke, Virginia. Educated in design at Radford University in the New River Valley, William worked for a short stint in the world of Newspaper design as Pre-Press Manager with New River Newspapers in Christiansburg before relocating to Roanoke to become Art Director at Leisure Publishing Company, publisher of dozens of magazines and other publications.
Not content with only 40 hours a week of work to do, William has cultivated a flourishing clientelle of freelance clients over the last eight years, with notable work created for Governor John Warner, Senator John Edwards, and the Johnson & Johnson company, as well as a slew of other work including Album Artwork, New Media Design, Corporate Identity Creation and more.
In 2004 William took the leap from the private sector to an Instructor position at Virginia Western Community College, helping the next generation of designers learn their clipping paths, web standards and layer masks. As if this wasn't enough, he spreads the rest of his free time between renting apartments in Roanoke's Historic Old Southwest neighborhood and covering the regional music scene for Inside Out in the Roanoke Times. While all of the above keeps his work schedule pretty packed, he spends the best of his time with his beautiful girlfriend Amber traveling, seeing live music and generally seizing the day.
