Digital Photo-Realism in Photoshop and Illustrator

Burt Monroy
is one of the guys who wrote the book(s) on photoshop, and is a very accomplished digital artist. The image above took eleven months (close to 2,000 hours) to create, contains over 15,000 layers and over 250,000 paths. Someone please let this man know what a digital camera is...

I don't think I would ever have the patience!! Interesting to see that during the age where we have the technology to create perfect photographs, he has used even other technological advances to do the photorealism thing..shiznizz
