National Geographic: XHTML/CSS designer
from AuthenticJobs.com Job Listings - Full-time: In-house, On Location
(Washington, DC) You're an expert XHTML/CSS coder; you strive for appropriate, not just dogmatic, separation of style and markup. You're a skilled visual and UI designer, working in Photoshop or code when appropriate.
You'll be developing systems of stylesheets that drive dozens of sections and tens of thousands of graphically rich pages.
It's a bonus if you're skilled at manipulating the DOM; double bonus if you're comfortable with AJAX. Triple-super-secret bonus for XSL.
We work in a close team environment, with regular critiques of each others' work. No primadonnas.
National Geographic perks include a free gym; discounts on lectures, massage and yoga; and working for an organization whose mission is to inspire people to care about the planet. Salary is competitive.
