THE FRED FRELANTZ $1,500 SCHOLARSHIP AND INTERNSHIP AWARD

The Fred Frelantz Scholarship was established in 1986 by the
Advertising Federation of the Roanoke Valley along with corporations,
local citizens and fans of Fred Mugler. Fred, alias, Freddie Frelantz,
was a well-known radio broadcaster and advertising executive who is
best remembered for his unfailing enthusiasm for our industry and
tireless support of many charitable organizations. This award was
established to reward interest,enthusiasm and excellence in students
who plan a career in advertising and related fields.

THE AWARD
The student who is awarded the scholarship will receive:
- $1500 toward a paid internship in the local advertising field.
- The opportunity to gain professional experience working with a
successful and exciting advertising or marketing company.
- Academic credit for the internship experience may be applicable.
- References and career guidance from the internship provider.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS FRIDAY, APRIL 18, 2008.

The winner will be announced on Monday, April 28, 2008.
