Greetings, all. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is seeking a
webmaster and graphic designer. (For those of you who know Russell, I'm
sad to say his last day is this Friday -- March 7, 2008.)

Web and Graphic Designer - Undergraduate Admissions - Virginia Tech
Summary: Provides web development, publication production, marketing,
and administrative support for undergraduate admissions public relations
efforts. This position supports the information needs of: undergraduate
admissions customers (recruiting staff, prospective students and their
families, guidance counselors, educators).
Required Qualifications: Organization, planning, and decision-making
skills; excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal
skills for working effectively with colleagues in undergraduate
admissions and other university departments, student workers, and
vendors; ability to communicate with and effectively serve the public;
ability to use computers for administrative, publications, and
web-related work (Macintosh experience required and preference for
experience with MS Word, Excel, FileMaker Pro, PageMaker, InDesign,
Photoshop, Dreamweaver, content management systems, and HTML); knowledge
of current (electronic) publishing, editing, proofreading, and printing
practices and processes, to include design ability and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. Preference for
understanding of college admissions practices and processes to include
the recruitment cycle; familiarity with the administration of academic
programs in a university environment.
Pay Band 4, up to a budget maximum of $37,000.
